Welcome to the Bjørvika lifestyle 

With the ambition to make Oslo’s Bjørvika the most attractive commercial and residential inner city area in Norway, developer Oslo S Utvikling (OSU) is driving Bjørvika’s transformation into a key urban centre. Surrounded by the sea and major Norwegian cultural institutions, this unique mixed-use waterfront project provides a series of wonderful new restaurants, bars, boutiques, stores and services, as well as offices and apartments. Open streets with outdoor serving and public spaces welcome people to meet up, taste and savor experiences. Scandinavian authenticity, urbanism, and an aspiring community will be the heartbeat of Bjørvika.

OSU is responsible for developing 460 000 sq. m. of the 900 000 sq. m.. Some of the properties are developed in collaboration with HAV Eiendom. Bjørvika, focussing on the Barcode, Bispevika North and Bispevika South areas. This unique area, located right in the heart of the city center and steps away from the Central Station and the Opera House, is being completely redeveloped to open up the inner Oslo fjord waterfront to the public. This highly significant development is already well underway and due for completion in stages between 2021 and 2025.

Sustainability is at the very heart of OSU’s development in Bjørvika. All buildings are BREEAM certified and located within walking distance of all that central Oslo has to offer. The Bjørvika lifestyle will encourage lunch breaks on green garden rooftops, visits to floating saunas before work, buying fresh produce from the local supermarket, being inspired by various world leading art exhibitions and indulging in award winning restaurants, cafés and retail stores.

An entire new, sustainable neighbourhood is being created in Bjørvika. The goal is to create new ways to make life better for those who live and work here, and for those who visit.
